Exploring the expansive realms in God of War Ragnarok introduces players to dangerous optional combat challenges known as Draugr Holes. These fiery vents are scattered across various regions, each spawning a tough mini-boss called The Hateful that tests your combat skills. Sealing every single hole is essential for players seeking to max out their weapons and fully complete the Born From Fire favor.

Understanding Draugr Holes and The Hateful

Draugr Holes serve as regional encounters that trigger an intense fight against The Hateful, a recurring undead opponent. Defeating this fierce enemy requires careful dodging, parrying, and managing extra minion enemies that spawn during the fight. Clearing these combat arenas effectively cleanses the area and permanently seals the fiery pit.

Draugr Hole Locations in Svartalfheim and Alfheim

The first encounter is located at The Watchtower in Svartalfheim, easily reachable by climbing the cliffs near the Bay of Bounty. Another Svartalfheim location is hidden inside The Applecore mines behind a large marked wooden door. Moving over to Alfheim, players can locate a hole in the western region of The Barrens after clearing the regional sandstorm.

Draugr Hole Locations in Midgard and Vanaheim

In Midgard, players can travel east across the frozen Lake of Nine to find a pit positioned on an elevated rocky ledge. Within Vanaheim, one hole is situated in The Abandoned Village across a wooden bridge structure. The final pit resides in The Plains area of the Vanaheim Crater, which becomes accessible after restoring the river flow.

Rewards for Sealing Every Draugr Hole

Every closed Draugr Hole grants valuable crafting resources, including Dust of Realms, Sovereign Coals, and a substantial amount of Hacksilver. Crucially, each victory awards a Chaos Spark, which automatically combines into a full Chaos Flame upon collecting all six. This rare upgrade material allows Kratos to enhance the Blades of Chaos to higher power levels at any blacksmith forge.
